The Aravon Gallery hosts the work of the artist Hugh Prendergast. His work explores existential themes that traverse the scientific physical understanding of the world and the lived experience of the present. His work invites the viewer on a personal journey of exploration leading to the abstraction of the figurative and directly into the representation of the subscious and the nature of experience itself.

Originating from his training as a philosopher Hugh has been using painting as a method of inquiry and expression for over 30 years. His work is held in private collections across Europe. While working primary on commision for private collectors, we are pleased to offer a limited body of contemporary work for immediate sale.

His historical catalogue of work is often used in films and television production and we maintain a gallery of his portfolio of both figurative and abstract works for rental to film producers and set designers.
